We moved our company blog to blog.metrocascade.com. It was actually very easy once we had a DNS CNAME set up.
All to make us move visible on the web. The next steps will be to look into SEO now that we have http://metrocascade.com on Google Analytics.
Hopefully we can collect data so we can make our site more meaningful for our users. Any feedback will be greatly appreciated.

Hey, where did everyone go?
Yule,
Did a quick SE search for MC cache – you might consider an xml sitemap which I don’t see yet on google. Meta tags – title and description are vital, and your page desc. tags are empty (big SEO no-no). Quick hint on title tags – google will index up to 65 characters. Try repeating your main keyword phrase twice in the title (and somewhere on the page in H1 tags)
eg. “Victoria News and Events: Metrocascade daily events and news for Victoria BC”

The first thing SEO will tell you is that it’s not wise to separate your blog onto a different site (like blogger) or subdomain because you’re essentially diluting search results between two domains (www.metrocascade.com and blog.metrocascade.com).
http://www.metrocascade.com/blog/ would be far more beneficial for your SEO purposes.
Hope this helps!
