Highlights from the firehose
Posted by: metrocascade on: July 14, 2009
Serves me right for letting things pile up, but just counting today (at 3:30pm), there are forty-three (43!) new posts on MetroCascade, from a range of categories that include news, movies, photos, business, hightech, music, happenings, sports, politics, education, lifestyle, urbanism, and the still ever-handy (but not terribly useful) uncategorized.
I’m almost afraid to look at July 13, 12, and 11 – clearly, letting too much time elapse makes “curation” a Hoover Dam to the Cascade’s flow. It’s time to schedule this regularly…
Just two quick dips into the categories today, though… I recommend that you dive into MetroCascade more fully on your own terms, too!
Lifestyle
I’m intrigued by the posts filed under lifestyle: there’s such a wide range. Victoria Klassen writes about recharging during an otherworldly weekend stay on Cortes Island, while Old Monk writes about Change: the essence of life. In downtown Victoria, Shades of Bliss reminds us of another lifestyle seen on Fisherman’s Wharf.
Hightech
Back to work: in hightech, many of the posts come from VIATeC‘s Twitter stream of job announcements – check ‘em out. On the topic of local news, Stepforth SEO News Blog posts a handy entry on the Ins and Outs of Local Search for businesses as well as a post on optimizing your LinkedIn page…
